THOR2 Explosion Proof – Safe, robust and fully configurable
The THOR2 Explosion Proof is specially designed for use in potentially explosive environments. It combines ergonomics, lightweight construction, and full customizability in one powerful transmitter—compatible with various joystick configurations and additional control options.
Certification and Safety
- ATEX & IECEx certified: Suitable for gas zones 1 & 2 and dust zones 21 & 22, with classification II 2 G Ex ib IIB T4 Gb and II 2 D Ex ib IIIC 135 °C Db. Also certified according to IECEx standards Ex ib IIB T4 Gb, Ex ib IIIC T135 °C Db, and I M2 Ex ib I Mb, with a temperature range of –20 °C to +55 °C.
Configuration and Construction
- Joystick options: Configurable with up to 9 single-axis joysticks or 4 dual-axis joysticks on the main panel. Space is provided on both sides for additional control components.IMET+1
- Fully customizable: CNC-machined enclosure, digitally printed panels, and fully configurable symbology with support from IMET’s technical department.IMET+1
- Robust and lightweight: Durable construction, tested for dust, moisture, aging, UV, salt spray, and fire resistance. Designed for long-term use and durability, including availability of spare parts.
Technology & Functionality
- Programming & Diagnostics: Optional software (sold separately) allows PC-based parameterization and real-time diagnostics.
- Harsh Environments: Designed for extreme conditions, tested for infiltration, aging, salt spray, UV, heat, and fire resistance.
- Advanced features (optional):
- RTAS (Real Time Analog Setup): Direct calibration of proportional outputs from the transmitter, secured with a passcode.
- MTRS: Multi Transmitter/Receiver System for communication with multiple receivers and secure lock/unlock functionality.
- DSC (Dynamic Speed Control): Adds real-time, continuous speed control for precise machine movements.
