The KRON Explosion Proof is a compact and robust radio transmitter, specially designed for use in hazardous explosive environments. This transmitter combines reliability, ergonomics, and full customizability in one powerful control unit.

Key Features

Certifications: ATEX en IECEx certified for use in gas zones 1 and 2 and dust zones 21 and 22, with classification II 2 G Ex ib IIB T4 Gb and II 2 D Ex ib IIIC 135 °C Db. Also certified according to IECEx standards Ex ib IIB T4 Gb, Ex ib IIIC T135 °C Db, and I M2 Ex ib I Mb with a temperature range of –20 °C to +55 °C.
Configuration: Configurable with up to 4 single-axis joysticks. In addition, switches, buttons, and potentiometers can be added depending on the specific requirements of the application.
Adaptability: CNC-machined housing, digitally printed panels, and fully configurable symbology, supported by IMET’s technical department.
Ergonomics: Equipped with a practical clip for quick attachment to the belt, making the transmitter easy to carry. The design of the handle ensures comfortable and intuitive operation in any work situation.
Robustness: Tested under extreme conditions, including dust, moisture, aging, UV, salt spray, and flame resistance. Designed with long-term use and durability in mind.
Battery: Powered by a specific rechargeable 3.6V Li-Ion battery, specially developed by IMET, with a runtime of up to 11 hours on a single charge. The batteries can be safely replaced in hazardous environments.
Charging options: Includes charger and carrying strap for convenience.
