For the first time, the SiTec pull wire emergency stop switches and position misalignment switches are available to the North American market, with select models now undergoing UL certification.
Designed to perform in the most challenging mining and industrial environments—whether dealing with heat, dust, or heavy usage—SiTec safety switches provide reliable and rapid emergency response capabilities. These cutting-edge solutions are engineered with a focus on durability, reliability, and seamless integration into existing conveyor systems and new system designs.
The SiTec SNA pull wire emergency stop switch allows for quick emergency stops along the length of the conveyor system. Equipped with a robust rope-break detection feature, these switches ensure that any malfunctions are detected and addressed immediately. The SNA double-sided switch, built for harsh conditions, features a durable aluminum housing and can be equipped with up to six silver or gold-plated contacts, offering versatile configuration options.
For monitoring belt conveying systems, the SiTec PSA position misalignment switch provides a critical safeguard against conveyor belt drift. When misalignment is detected, these switches trigger a warning signal or shut down the system, depending on the configured settings. The PSA misalignment switch, housed in sturdy aluminum, can be fitted with up to four silver contacts, ensuring reliable monitoring in demanding conditions.
As with all Spohn + Burkhardt products, SiTec safety switches are manufactured in Germany, guaranteeing the highest quality and compliance with international standards. These switches meet EN ISO 13850 and DIN EN 60947-5-1 standards and feature an IP67 rating. An optional Ex rating is available for applications requiring explosion protection. Originally developed in 2017, SiTec safety switches have established a reputation for excellence and reliability throughout the world.
